Doula Care

A doula helping a woman through her contractions.

A doula helps you navigate your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum by providing expert support and advice. Research indicates that doula support improves a number of outcomes for mothers, families, and babies with no downside. According to researchers, the  most benefit is derived when support is provided by a person who:

  • is present solely to provide support
  • has adequate training, and
  • is not a friend or family member

Tulsa Birth Center is proud to offer this kind of expert support. Our experienced doulas offer physical, emotional, and educational support for labor, delivery and immediate postpartum; and support births that happen at home, in the birth center, or in the hospital.

All Tulsa Birth Center doulas are contracted with SoonerCare. Schedule a consultation to find out more!

Meet the Doulas

Holly Harber BA, CD
TBC Midwife Assistant and Head Doula

Holly’s journey as a birth doula began in 2003 while she was a young mother herself. She first supported her sister-in-law during labor and delivery at their local hospital in Kansas. It was during that birth experience that her mother-in-law recognized Holly’s natural gift for supporting women through childbirth and encouraged her to pursue this calling. In 2017, Holly formally pursued her passion and reach more families beyond her immediate circle and began her professional training through the DONA International and later continued her education through Birth Arts International. Holly also took a course in 2017 with Spinning Babies. She has been able to implement this program into her practice.  Holly has continued serving friends and family through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period. Drawing from her own experiences as a mother and from growing up in a family of seven, she developed a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and practical support families need during this transformative time.

Holly is certified by the State of Oklahoma to provide doula services for Soonercare and SoonerSelect clients. She serves as the Birth Assistant and Head Doula for Tulsa Birth Center, where she leads and mentors a growing team of doulas dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. In addition to her doula certification, Holly maintains certifications in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS). She also provides lactation support services for Tulsa Birth Center families and members of the greater Tulsa community seeking breastfeeding assistance.

As a leader within Tulsa’s birth community, Holly is passionate about mentoring and educating the next generation of doulas. She works closely with obstetricians, labor and delivery nurses, and midwives to ensure families receive collaborative, evidence-based support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery.

Holly’s mission is simple: to empower families through education, advocacy, and compassionate support while helping every mother feel seen, heard, and confident in her birth journey.
