At Balance, our doulas offer physical, emotional, and educational support for labor, delivery and immediate postpartum; and support births that happen at home, in the birth center, or in the hospital. Doula clients are also eligible to transfer to midwifery care after 28 weeks. Ask about SoonerCare coverage.
Birth Doula
Includes:
Prenatal Support – Your doula will meet with you and your partner before the birth, so that you may become acquainted and discuss your priorities or concerns, and birth vision.
Birth Support – Your doula will be on-call for you surrounding your due date, and will accompany you in labor to help create a safe and satisfying birth experience. by providing emotional support, physical comfort, and the information you need to make informed decisions as they arise in labor.
Postpartum Support – Your doula will meet with you after your birth, and will be available by phone/text/email to answer any questions you may have about your recovery or your baby.

Sibling Doula
Includes:
Prenatal Support – Your doula will meet with you and your family before the birth, so that your child may become familiar with the doula. She will also discuss your wishes, priorities, and plans for your children surrounding the birth. One difference between a sibling doula and a babysitter is that a sibling doula is trained to help children feel safe and included during the birth process.
Birth Support – Your doula will be on-call for surrounding your due date, and will care for your children while you are in labor, making sure they are safe and comfortable. She can care for your children in your home, birth room, or hotel room, and she can accompany them into the birthing location at times of your choosing.
Postpartum Doula
Includes:
Postpartum Guidance – Your doula will come to your home to answer any question you have during the postpartum period. From baths to breastfeeding, your postpartum doula is an expert in helping you enjoy the journey of new parenthood without anxiety.
Self-Care Support – Your doula will make sure you’re getting the kind of support you need in the postpartum period, by helping you finally get a shower or grab a bite to eat..
Household Support – Your doula will gladly complete simple housekeeping tasks, like doing dishes or folding laundry, that have been hard for you to manage in the postpartum period.
